Self-study English (two)
Self-study English (two), also known as the College English Test, is a set of national level examinations jointly developed and administered by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, Beijing Language and Culture University and Beijing Foreign Studies University. It is mainly used to measure the English proficiency of learners and to assess their foreign language capability.
Self-study English (two) is divided into three levels: ordinary, a**anced and higher levels. The ordinary level is the basic English level, focusing on enabling learners to master the basic language and communication skills of English. The a**anced level focuses on enhancing learners’ English proficiency, such as reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. The higher level is the highest level of English proficiency, focusing on teaching learners a**anced English grammar, composition and translation skills.

The reading section contains three parts: reading comprehension, reading-to-writing, and reading-and-speaking. The writing section contains two parts: writing-to-reading and writing-and-speaking.
